gin_san | Gintama Permissions

Gintama, as a canon, is a very fourth-wall breaking canon -- its characters generally know all about all things Japanese culture related (video games, anime/manga, movies, celebrities, etc.) as well as big American movies/celebrities as well. The characters in Gintama also know that they are characters, and regularly talk about their author, Sorachi Hideaki, and/or Sunrise, who produces the anime.

Below is a handy little form for fourth wall permissions for the Gintama cast at Luceti!

Are you open to us having our characters recognize yours in prose but not break fourth wall for any number of IC reasons?
Can we have our characters say Luceti is a roleplay game and have your character think they're crazy or whatever?

Are there any specific things you'd like to be fourth-walled? KAGURA SHOULD TALK TO HIM ABOUT HIS FEAR OF WOMEN... Other than that: kinda free game between the canon and Tales-tropes in general, although I'd like to avoid endgame spoilers since they'll hit waaaay too many nerves for Guy right now.

That's fine! Ion will just be confused what they mean, while Kari will try and convince them it's the real deal here (and since Gintama likely exists in her world, she might throw in a quip about Shounen Jump never approving a cross-over of this magnitude).

HAHA oh my god there was this ENTIRE arc in Gintama that was like this weird Star Wars parody. XD;

And Gintoki would counter and say of course they wouldn't, that's why we have these things called muns who are worse than Shueisha and gorilla authors.

Luke's seen the movies. My only real request is that when interacting with Luke, your character don't just be like OMGLUKESKYWALKEROMG because for me personally that's incredibly dull to play out if it's the only thing going on in the thread.

The Star Wars cast here has only one rule about 4th walling beyond my own request, and that's please don't talk to Anakin about Darth Vader. Not only would it be an extremely bad idea for anyone that did it but it'd kick off a lot of cast-drama that we're not ready for yet. (And your character may end up Force Choked)

I can probably have Gintoki run away in the other direction when he realizes who Anakin is, and it'd be IC for him.

As for the 'OMGLUKESKYWALKER' part -- unfortunately, there is no way I can't have Gintoki react that way. HOWEVER, because it's Gintama, I guarantee it'll be absolutely hilarious and the way we'll do it will probably be pretty entertaining because it'll involve things like beam sabers (which was, as I mentioned, an arc in Gintama), as well as other ridiculous shenanigans that will probably make Luke wtf a bit.
