Gintama, as a canon, is a very fourth-wall breaking canon -- its characters generally know all about all things Japanese culture related (video games, anime/manga, movies, celebrities, etc.) as well as big American movies/celebrities as well. The characters in Gintama also know that they are characters, and regularly talk about their author, Sorachi Hideaki, and/or Sunrise, who produces the anime.

Below is a handy little form for fourth wall permissions for the Gintama cast at Luceti!

You're <i>BEEP</i> from <i>BEEP BEEP BEEP</i> that awesome <i>BEEP</i>" and your character literally hears beeps in lieu of those words.) <b>Are you open to us having our characters recognize yours in prose but not break fourth wall for any number of IC reasons?</b> <b>Can we have our characters say Luceti is a roleplay game and have your character think they're crazy or whatever?</b>

Are there any specific things you'd like to be fourth-walled? HE'S FROM POKEMON, SO UH. YEAH. If you're familiar with Pokémon by all means go wildly nuts.

Stuff like "Pokémon is a video game!" or "I filled out my whole Pokédex!" or "hey can you list off all the types what's it like being a trainer" and general world knowledge is totally fine and so's "heeeey you're a fictional character from a manga based off of the video games!" or "you're a pokedex holder and a hero and stuff!" or "hydro cannon is such a cool move!" and general character stuff like that.

But huge and personal specific stuff like "I know who your dad is!" should be treaded with a little more sensitivity. Yeah. Most other stuff is cool.
