Gintama, as a canon, is a very fourth-wall breaking canon -- its characters generally know all about all things Japanese culture related (video games, anime/manga, movies, celebrities, etc.) as well as big American movies/celebrities as well. The characters in Gintama also know that they are characters, and regularly talk about their author, Sorachi Hideaki, and/or Sunrise, who produces the anime.

Below is a handy little form for fourth wall permissions for the Gintama cast at Luceti!

<b>Character Name:</b> <b>Canon:</b> <B>Can we fourth-wall you?</b> Y/N (Feel free to also let us know how much you are willing to be fourth-walled -- completely, partially, etc.) <b>How can we contact you?</b> <b>IF YOU SAID YES TO FOURTH-WALLING...</b> <b>Link to your character's app or wiki:</b> <b>Are there any specific things you'd like to be fourth-walled?</b> <b>Can we fourth-wall by saying Luceti is a roleplay game?</b> <B>IF YOU SAID NO TO FOURTH WALLING...</B> <b>Are you open to us completely bleeping out canon/character names/genre/type?</b> (This is where the characters might mention something like, "Ah! You're Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z, that awesome manga!" and it comes out like "Ah! You're <i>BEEP</i> from <i>BEEP BEEP BEEP</i> that awesome <i>BEEP</i>" and your character literally hears beeps in lieu of those words.) <b>Are you open to us having our characters recognize yours in prose but not break fourth wall for any number of IC reasons?</b> <b>Can we have our characters say Luceti is a roleplay game and have your character think they're crazy or whatever?</b>
